FUTURE OF PETROLEUM IN SOMALIA & ACADEMIC READINESS OF OUR PETROLEUM ENGINEERING FACULTY: Was a program held at Somali Academy of Sciences and Arts by Somaville University’s faculty of petroleum engineering. The program was a platform for Somali government, petroleum engineers, Somali’s friendly countries, petroleum companies and other participants to discuss the current situation of Somali resources specially petroleum and challenges and advancements relating to the human resources as well as our faculty which will soon produce qualified petroleum engineers. Somaville University seeks to share experience and how best we can contribute, promote and prepare the first ever home trained petroleum engineers. We believe that how soon we utilize our resources depends on the economic, social and political success of Somali.
The program was divided into sessions starting petroleum engineering faculty report from Somaville University, short speeches from Government leadership, International Organizations and Guest Speakers.
